The best eternity band is the one whose build matches how you will wear it, because the build decides whether it can ever be resized. Our top pick is With Clarity’s Classic Shared Prong Diamond Eternity Ring, a full eternity band with lab-grown diamonds all the way around, from 585 dollars at 1/2 ct to 2,693 dollars at 4 ct on the day we read it. Treat a full eternity band as a size you keep, so the return window and size exchange matter more than the sparkle. If you want a band a jeweler can still adjust, the half eternity pick is the alternative.

Four of the five are full eternity bands, which means the size you order is close to the size you keep. Only the Angara band has plain metal at the back, which is why it is the one our picks list as resizable in principle. The Best Eternity Bands, Reviewed

Best overall

With Clarity Classic Shared Prong Diamond Eternity Ring (F+ SI+)

by With Clarity

Best for: A full eternity band, diamonds all the way around, where you can see exactly what each extra carat of total weight costs on the same design.

Lab-grown diamonds only on this listing, F+ color and SI+ clarity, in total weights of 1/2, 1, 2, 3 or 4 ct; the stone count falls from 41 to 17 as the weight rises, because each stone gets bigger.

What we like

  • Five carat weights on one design, from a slim 1/2 ct band to a 4 ct statement band
  • Six gold options plus platinum
  • The listing publishes the stone count and the average width for each weight, which most eternity listings leave out

Keep in mind

  • Lab-grown only on the listing we read; there was no natural diamond option
  • Sizes stop at 11, and the size you order is close to final
  • At 3 ct and 4 ct the average stone, by our division of the total weight by the stone count, is above 0.10ct, the limit of the warranty's stone replacement

Best baguette value

Rare Carat Baguette Lab Diamond Eternity Band (1.00 ct. tw.)

by Rare Carat (marketplace; the retailer behind this listing is not named on the page)

Best for: A slim baguette eternity band in lab-grown diamonds at the lowest price of the baguette picks.

A straight row of baguette stones, which the listing calls linear; details reflect size 7, and stone count and carat weight may vary by size.

What we like

  • The width, 2.75mm, is published rather than implied
  • Resizing is a term on the product page, not a footer link
  • The lowest price of the three baguette bands, with the metal offers published individually

Keep in mind

  • A full eternity band, so the published 1-year resizing may be hard to apply in practice, and the page does not say whether eternity bands are excluded
  • The listing says stone count and carat weight vary by size
  • The seller is a marketplace and the retailer behind the listing is not named on the page

Best east-west baguette

With Clarity Baguette Diamond East-West Eternity Ring

by With Clarity

Best for: A baguette eternity band set sideways, with a resizing window that most full eternity bands do not publish.

The maker calls the stones step cut and sets them east-west in a channel, so the rectangles lie across the finger.

What we like

  • Complimentary resizing within 30 days of receipt is published for wedding bands
  • East-west orientation gives a different look from the usual end-to-end baguette row
  • Platinum and six gold options

Keep in mind

  • The width in millimeters is not stated, so how the band sits against an engagement ring cannot be checked before ordering
  • The warranty excludes damage, loss, theft and any diamond above 0.10 ct
  • Using the free resizing forfeits the free return
Price range
$1,380 to $2,340 across metals and carat weights, no sale price shown, read 30 October 2026

Best half eternity

Angara Pave-Set Diamond Half Eternity Classic Wedding Ring

by Angara

Best for: A half eternity band in natural diamonds that a jeweler can still resize, from a seller that publishes what each fractional carat weight means in decimals.

Natural diamonds in four quality grades or lab-grown in yellow gold only, at 1/5, 1/4 or 1/3 ct total weight; 16 round stones in a U pave setting on the variant shown, with a published carat range chart for every fraction.

What we like

  • The listing carries a Carat Range Chart: 1/3 ct means 0.29 to 0.36 ct total weight, 1/4 ct means 0.23 to 0.28, 1/5 ct means 0.18 to 0.22
  • Natural or lab-grown diamonds on one design
  • Sizes 3 to 15 in quarter steps, the widest range among our picks

Keep in mind

  • It is a half eternity band, so it is not a full circle of stones
  • The lowest natural grade on offer is a long way below the others, so check which grade the headline price refers to
  • Lab-grown is offered in yellow gold only on this design
Price range

How We Chose

Full Eternity, Half Eternity and Everything Between

An eternity band is defined by how far the stones go around the finger, and the answer changes the price, the comfort and the options if your size changes. The three common builds are a full eternity band, a half eternity band and a three-quarter band, and sellers use the labels loosely.

BuildWhere the stones sitResizingTypical reason to choose it
Full eternityAll the way aroundHardest kind to resize, per GIA; Brilliant Earth says it cannot be resizedThe look of an unbroken circle
Half eternityAcross the top, plain metal at the backPlain metal leaves room for a later resize, per Espling JewelersA band that sits comfortably and can be adjusted
Three-quarterMost of the way aroundNot stated by the sellers we readA compromise between the two

Full Eternity Bands

A full eternity band has no plain metal anywhere, and that is the whole difficulty. GIA’s 2018 ring size guide says eternity rings, those with diamonds around the entire band, can be very difficult to resize. Brilliant Earth goes further on its own listing and says the ring cannot be resized because of the continuous diamond setting. With Clarity’s shared prong band is the one pick where the page tells you exactly how the stones change with weight, which is useful because a heavier band means fewer, bigger stones rather than more of them.

Because you cannot adjust a full band, order the size once and check the exchange terms before you pay. Our guide to how to make a ring smaller covers what a jeweler can and cannot do with a ring that has stones on every side.

Half Eternity Bands

A half eternity band keeps a plain section at the back, which is where a jeweler would cut. Espling Jewelers says that is what allows for future resizing. Angara’s pave half eternity is the pick here: 16 round stones in a U pave setting on the variant we read, with natural or lab-grown diamonds on one design. It is not a full circle, so it is a different look, and it is also the band that is easiest to wear every day with an engagement ring on the same hand.

Baguette Eternity Bands

Three of our picks use baguette stones, the small rectangular step cuts, and they read differently from a round-stone band: a straight, architectural row rather than a sparkling line. Brilliant Earth sets 13 to 19 baguettes in bezels at 2.4mm wide. Rare Carat publishes 2.75mm for its lab-grown band. With Clarity sets its baguettes east-west in a channel, but does not publish the width, so how it sits beside an engagement ring cannot be checked before ordering.

Lab-Grown or Natural: What the Listings Say

Lab-grown or natural is a bigger decision on an eternity band than on a solitaire, because there are so many stones. Three of our five picks are lab-grown only: With Clarity’s two bands and Rare Carat’s baguette band. Brilliant Earth’s baguette band states natural diamonds, color F to G, and Angara offers both natural and lab-grown on the half eternity, with lab-grown in yellow gold only.

What the listings do not always say is a grade. With Clarity’s shared prong band states F+ color and SI+ clarity in the title. Angara states a color and clarity pair for each natural grade, and the lowest grade on offer is K, I3, which is far below the others, so check which grade the headline price refers to. Brilliant Earth states a color range but we found no clarity grade on the page we read. For more on how that choice changes what you pay, our diamond wedding bands page covers the three-seller comparison, and our guide to wedding band metals helps with the metal choice.

Carat Weight Is Not Exact

Two sellers publish what their fractions mean, and that matters for an eternity band because total weight is spread across many stones. Angara’s Carat Range Chart gives 1/5 ct as 0.18 to 0.22, 1/4 ct as 0.23 to 0.28 and 1/3 ct as 0.29 to 0.36. Brilliant Earth gives 0.60 to 0.87 ct total weight for its 3/4 ct band depending on ring size, and Rare Carat says stone count and carat weight may vary by size. On a full band the weight changes with the finger size, so a size 4 and a size 9 are not the same ring.

Resizing and Returns on Eternity Bands

If a full eternity band does not fit, the usual answer is an exchange, not an adjustment. That makes each seller’s terms the real comparison.

SellerReturn windowResizing or exchangeThe catch
With Clarity (shared prong)30 days, free within the USNot stated for this designNot accepted at With Clarity’s stores
With Clarity (east-west)Free returns within 30 days in the USComplimentary resizing for wedding bands within 30 days of receiptSending the ring in for resizing forfeits the free return
Rare Carat (baguette)Free 30-day returns1-year resizing is publishedWhether eternity bands are excluded: Not stated
Brilliant EarthFree 30-day returnsCannot be resized; free exchange within 60 daysExchange window starts when the ring is first available for shipment or pickup
Angara30 days from delivery, free return shippingResizing possible on a half band in principleNot accepted once worn, modified or resized by another jeweler

Pick the Exchange Window Before the Metal

The window is more useful than the warranty on a full band. Brilliant Earth gives 60 days for a free exchange, and With Clarity’s east-west band gives 30 days of complimentary resizing for a wedding band, though it notes that using it ends the free return. Choose the seller whose window you will actually use, and try the ring on the finger it is meant for, at the end of a warm day, before the window closes.

What Eternity Bands Cost

On 30 October 2026 the five bands we read opened from $585 to $2,790, and the same design could cost several times more at a higher carat weight. The cost of an eternity band tracks total carat weight and metal far more than the brand.

Under $1,500: Lab-Grown Bands

With Clarity’s shared prong eternity starts at 585 dollars for 1/2 ct and climbs to 2,693 dollars at 4 ct, with compare-at prices of $780 to $3,590. Rare Carat’s baguette band ran from $1,145 to $1,460 across the metals published. With Clarity’s east-west baguette band ran from $1,380 to $2,340 with no sale price shown. If you want the lowest entry price for a full circle of diamonds, the 1/2 ct shared prong band is it, but it is the thinnest at 1.81mm.

Natural Diamonds: $1,000 and Up

Angara’s half eternity read 1,079 dollars on the default variant, and other grades, weights and metals were not stated on the page. Brilliant Earth’s bezel baguette band started at 2,790 dollars in 14K gold, which was the highest entry price of the five. For more on stones and price by carat, see our diamond wedding bands comparison, and for options in gold see our gold wedding bands page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is the Difference Between an Eternity Band and a Wedding Band?

An eternity band has stones set continuously around the finger or most of the way around it, while a wedding band can be plain, textured or set with only a few stones. Many people wear an eternity band as an anniversary gift or as a second band beside the wedding band.

Can You Wear an Eternity Band as a Wedding Band?

Yes. Nothing restricts it, and a slim eternity band is a common choice for the wedding band itself. The practical limit is that a full band cannot be resized, so check the exchange window and order the size carefully.

Can Eternity Bands Be Resized?

It depends on the build. GIA says rings with diamonds around the entire band can be very difficult to resize, and Brilliant Earth states its eternity ring cannot be resized at all. A half eternity band keeps plain metal at the back, which leaves room for a jeweler to adjust it.

Which Hand Do You Wear an Eternity Band On?

No authority sets a rule. Many people wear it on the left hand beside the engagement ring, and some wear it on the right hand to avoid stacking. Our what is an eternity ring guide covers when it is traditionally given.

Are Lab-Grown Eternity Bands Worth It?

On the listings we read, the lab-grown full circles start at 585 dollars, while the only natural full band started at 2,790 dollars. If the number of stones is what drives the price, lab-grown lowers it a lot. Whether it is worth it depends on whether a natural diamond matters to you.
