RingReel (ringreel.com) is operated by Westernmost LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the site.

What We Collect

RingReel has no accounts and no comment forms, and we never ask for your name or payment details. The only place we ask for your email address is the optional newsletter form, described in its own section below.

Server and security data. Our hosting and content delivery providers process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Your display preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.
Site search. The search box runs inside your browser. What you type is not sent to us.

Our content delivery provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell real visitors from automated traffic. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which guides people read and how they find them. Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies and collects data such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser, and your approximate location derived from your IP address. We use these reports in aggregate only; we do not combine them with any information that identifies you. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask first. Google Analytics only loads if you press Allow, and nothing is sent if you choose No thanks.
Everywhere else Google Analytics loads by default. You can turn it off below, or with Google’s browser add-on.
Changing your choice. Your choice is saved in your own browser. Change your analytics choice at any time, or use the Privacy choices link at the bottom of every page. Clearing your browser’s site data also resets it.

Affiliate Links

Some links on RingReel go to jewelers and ring makers through affiliate programs. When you click one, the merchant or its affiliate network may set cookies on its own site to record that you came from RingReel, so a purchase can be credited to us. Those cookies are governed by the merchant’s or network’s own privacy policy, not this one. See our affiliate disclosure for how affiliate links work on this site.

The RingReel letter brings new guides and seasonal picks, about once a month. You join it by entering your email address in the newsletter form and pressing Subscribe; that action is your consent to receive it. There is no box to tick, and nothing is sent until you confirm.

Double opt-in. After you subscribe we send one email asking you to confirm your address. If you do not click the link, you will not receive the newsletter.
What we store. Your email address; the date you subscribed, confirmed or unsubscribed; the page you signed up from; the wording and version of the consent you gave; your browser’s user agent; the country your connection comes from; and a one-way hash of your IP address that we use only to limit repeated sign-up attempts. We do not store your IP address itself.
Where it is kept. The list is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database, and our emails are sent through the mail server of our hosting provider. Neither uses the list for its own purposes.
Unsubscribing. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and supporting email apps show a one-click unsubscribe button. You can also write to hello@ringreel.com and we will remove you by hand. After you unsubscribe we keep your address, the dates and the consent record only so that we never email you again by mistake. Ask us and we will delete that record too.
No sharing. We never sell, rent or share the list, and we do not track whether you open our emails.

Emails You Send Us

If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply, and we do not add you to any list.

We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Children

RingReel is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
